Jose Mari-Elacion, MD

As a physician, Jose Mari-Elacion, MD ensures patients of the Doctor Bariatric Program thoroughly understand the importance of a balanced diet and exercise plan following bariatric surgery. Elacion specializes in nutrition by reviewing and monitoring patient’s diets for up to six months following surgery to secure weight loss success.

Elacion has worked as a medical doctor in Manila, Philippines. He completed his residency at Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in Indiana.

He has experience with hospice and palliative medicine as well as urgent care.

At Doctor Bariatric, Elacion focuses on pre-operative assessment, aftercare and nutrition management working closely with patients and their needs.

Elacion is a member of the California Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. He holds a bachelor of science in biology from the University of Santo Tomas. With Elacion’s expertise in nutrition, patients are ensured quality aftercare.
