Stephen Russell Kerr, MD
Stephen Russell Kerr, MD completed his surgical training at UC Irvine Medical Center as Chief Surgical Resident. Kerr has worked at the University of Minnesota where he received both a surgical infectious diseases fellowship and a surgery endoscopy fellowship. His surgical specialties include advanced laparoscopic surgery and bariatric surgery as well as endoscopy and colonoscopy.
In addition to his surgical experience, Kerr has served as a general and trauma surgeon for the United States Army Reserve on numerous occasions.
Kerr earned his bachelor degree in physiology and cellular biology at the University of Santa Barbara. His M.D. degree is from the University of San Diego. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association and the United States Army Reserve.
